This Queen set was built to use some excess spring units. Panels are the quilted surface material on a mattress.   When we produce our mattresses we sometimes have panel material that will show cosmetic flaws or blemishes.   We choose not to use these flawed panels on our finished product.   However, they are offered for sale at a discount.  These make great mattress pads or can be put on the floor for pet cushions.
