Mattress Warranty Information

According to the International Sleep Products Association, mattresses last on average between 7 and 10 years. Our warranty covers you for the higher end of that estimate. We’re proud of the work we do to build your bed, and we are pleased to offer a 10-year warranty on all our mattresses.

When there’s a question about your mattress, work directly with the people who built it. Buying from a local manufacturer like Mattress Mill allows you to go straight to the source to work through issues—no more waiting on hold with a third-party warranty company or wading through endless automated phone directory options.

Here are some other common questions and answers to help you understand how our mattress warranty protects your investment.

Are all mattresses covered by a warranty?

Yes, we have a 10-year warranty on all our Mattress Mill mattresses. That means once we confirm that the mattress issue is covered by warranty, we handle 100% of the material costs, less transportation costs. But because a quality foundation greatly impacts the life of a mattress, we supply a one-year warranty on new mattresses that will be placed on an existing foundation.

What does the warranty cover?

The warranty covers the workmanship and materials of our beds. For example, the ticking materials themselves are covered, and the warranty kicks in if body impressions on the surface of the mattress reach a depth of ¾”. Other mattreess warranties typically don’t take effect until mattress impressions are twice that depth.

What does it not cover?

It does not cover normal wear or any firmness changes. The Comfort Guarantee covers firmness changes, where we provide two changes to the bed’s comfort layers within the first year after purchase.

What is “normal wear”?

Though every bed is maintained differently, a softening of the mattress is considered normal. Impressions of less than ¾” in the areas where you usually sleep are also regarded as ordinary wear.

Can I make any improvement to the way my mattress wears?

Yes, properly maintaining your mattress will improve its usable life. As a case in point, a good mattress pad helps to reduce wear on your bed. Read more about how to care for your mattress in our Care and Maintenance guide.
